I recently tested this. All brass was wet tumbled and very clean then annealed and ran through a vibratory tumbler. Straight out of the tumbler produced 50lbs of seating force, dry graphite 30 lbs and wet graphite applied to the necks 18lbs. I got my 223 rebarrled and a tuner put on it. Also built a 308 on a Panda Fclass action for long range matches. Going to try and make it out the 20th and shoot with y’all but I might be moving that weekend

Under an inch at 300 is my criteria. I can’t test any further.

I’ve had cold welded bullets to necks on hunting rounds that had been loaded for a few months. I tried some new lube last year. I need to seat some a little deeper and see if they pop or not since they have been loaded since November.

I keep seeing cloudy with occasional rain in the afternoon. This will be the only weekend I can shoot for a while. I’ve got the itch, hadn’t shot in 4 months. However, I understand if it’s too wet also, no need in making a mess.

Looks like they have dropped it to 30% chance mainly in the afternoon now.

Enjoyed meeting everyone. I’ll definitely make a few more matches next year.

I’m loaded and ready. How long from Meridian? Looks to me to be about an hour. Anyway I can get someone’s phone number to call in case I can’t find the place. It would suck to stop on the side of the road and wait until I could hear the shooting start to find the place, lol.

What time do the matches usually finish. State Alabama Saturday, I have to get my priorities straight.

Thanks Wynne, I pm’d Ernie yesterday and he told me the waiting list was around a year. I have 10-12lbs of Varget or a Sightron 10-50x60lrmoa if anybody was interested. lol

Does anybody know someone wanting to sale theirs or know where to get one? I’ve been on the waiting list for one for a long time now. Not sure if it would help much but it sure looks nice.
