KeymasterWell, March got here in a hurry. Like February, we will have plenty of time to register for the match. Reese Bottom will host a long-range prone match on Saturday March 21, 2026. The match will be a 3 X 20 X 1000. We will have the same three divisions: open, ftr, and bench. We will take up to twenty-five good shooters, five of which can shoot from a bench. I ask that you be ready to shoot by 8 am. Plans are to shoot the bench first, then the open shooters, and let the ftr’s go last. I will have a few drinks and a little something to eat. Registration will close Thursday night March 19 at 7:00 pm.
If you are registered to shoot the match, please visit here before traveling. I think the March match the last two years has gotten rained out. jess saying. I will not call a match unless the creek is out and we cannot get to the shooting shed. Spring rains usually get up on the shooting slab a time or two each year. I was impressed with how well the shed provided cover for the twenty plus participants last month.
Please register here in this topic: Name, Division, Caliber
Hope to see everyone on the 21st. Thanks for supporting our matches, we need more good shooters. WWE

KeymasterI am writing this on Sunday night the 8th around 8 pm. I would like to mention a couple of things here. Registration for the March match is extremely slow, but there are still ten or eleven days left to register. I must have scared everyone with my comment about the weather. I do think that it is not unfair to require ten good shooters to register before we try to have a competition. So, if you are one of the first to register, please check back here after 7:00 pm on the 19th to see if we have a quota. We should have a better idea about numbers and the weather by then. The other thing is that Suze and I will be on spring break with one of our daughters and her family over the next few days, but plans are for this to do nothing to interfere with the match.
I understand that several good shooters are planning to shoot elsewhere this month. Good luck and hopefully bring home some bling. Let us hear from you. Also, Steve Gilley is offering a mighty fine rifle for sale. He wore us out for years with the thing and we hate to hear that he is having to give up shooting. Thanks everyone for your support of Reese Bottom. WWE
