Yes, very impressive. Mr. Stroup shoots with the guys at Brock’s Gap in B’ham. ‘Rookie’ is somewhat misleading, re. Steve Gilley. I’ll add a little amazement to this feat in a day or so. WWE

Larry, I will try to make this work. Is this something you want to set up during the match, or after. If you are talking about after the match, we can even take it up on the hill and see what it does to 1000 yards. I will do what ever, just do not want it to disrupt the match. I am interested in seeing how well it works. WWE

Well, the IBS stamped Gilley and Echols, non-competitive, packaged them up and sent them home to west Alabama. Enjoyed the event, very well run, really nice range, and lots of fine people. I took some photos and will get them up soon. Thanks Steve, for putting up with me for a couple of days. WWE

Al, it was a tough day for the guys from Reese Bottom. I cannot figure it out for sure. The first 10 shot group was well centered with 7 in the blue, but a 12 + group. Gilley and Echols have arrived in Swainsboro. Six hour uneventful ride towards a hurricane. Arrived after the rain. A few limbs down around town. Passed lots of Alabama Power trucks headed this way. Shooting starts tomorrow morning at 9 am. Approx 85 shooters shooting 3 relays per day. Will try to post our results tomorrow night. Shoot straight, WWE

Well, I think it has been April since we last shot a mid range prone match. Looking forward to loading up the .223 and tackling the FTR boys. Ben, I would contact the range before I went. This is advertised as an F Class Match. I would assume 70 something shots and most ranges do not allow a rifle with a muzzle break. Not sure, but I thought your rifle had a break. Forgive me if I am wrong. Shoot straight. WWE

I just went to the ‘results page’ and noticed that I made a couple of boo boos yesterday. Sorry for the misspelled name and I think I gave out one wrong agg prize. Sarah and Chase please forgive me. August was a great month at Reese Bottom with one of the largest crowds ever. Twenty four guns, several new shooters, 4 female shooters, and good conditions. Here is what I know. At 6:30 on Friday afternoon a shower came through Reese Bottom. It will be damp tomorrow, but we should be able to come and go with no problems. There is a 30% chance of rain in the morning, so who knows. We will shoot unless it is flooding. WWE

Misters Gilley and Echols are registered to shoot in the 2016 IBS 1000 Yard Nationals in Swainsboro, Ga. on September 3rd and 4th. There are plenty of spots left. About a six hour drive from Reese Bottom. More info is up on the Cool Acres Shooting Range webpage. WWE

Steve, the eight would seem to definitely have some different characteristic than the others. My question on the loose primer pockets is how loose is too loose because dealing with both Norma and Lapua brass, l see quite a range of seating tension.
