Just keeping on grinding Mr. Richard, I think you shoot very well with that pistol. The fopen field is getting unreal, I shot a 600-42 at swn midrange and got 5th place. It’s a tough crowd these days!

Me. Richard, you’re definitely not a burden and you might very well have a scope problem. One good way to check that is with a string test at 100 yds to make sure your scope is tracking like it should be. If the scope isn’t solid, it will definitely affect your scores and your confidence.

The first match is in the books, from what I heard the conditions were pretty sporty. Anything you’re going to change going forward or learned something and will apply it at the next match? Looking forward to shooting with you all next month.

Went down to Houston tx and shot at bayou rifles last month for a long range match, the competition down there is unbelievable. Matt basalla shot a 600-47x at 1000. I was testing some loads and did ok. We shot a pair fire match after the regular 3×20. 3 shooters to a target for pair fire, taking alternating shots, up to 45 seconds per shooter. It…[Read more]

Skyelor will pick it up quickly, teach him the why behind what you do when tweaking a load. As with most things, practice makes perfect.

I know it’s cold but who has been out shooting? I’ve been doing some testing with the 7-6.5prc, trying different primers and powders. I can’t say I’ve gotten any new toys just trying to make the ones I’ve got shoot a little tighter.

I know we all have expensive comp rigs but what about hunting rifles? Handguns? Etc…..
I have a tactical rifle I had chambered with my dasher reamer and shoot 108eldm. I use old brass from my comp rifle and it works pretty well!
My other is a custom 7stw, it’s a lazer beam. We mainly hunt long bean/corn fields around here so I don’t have to use a…[Read more] -

Mr. Richard, I shot a 599-41x several years back in the Nebraska state match and got 5th place. Mid range scores have gotten pretty ridiculous. The match that’s shot in como, ms every month (2×20), you have to shoot a 400 to win and 2nd and 3rd are usually determined on x count.

Mr. Richard, we sure did miss you but glad to hear you’re doing good again and it wasn’t anything serious.
Overall, in my opinion, conditions were pretty consistent but there were subtle let ups that would make you leak a shot and not by much. The level of competition at RB is increasing with every match, as seen by the scores. I always have a g…[Read more] -

I don’t know how I ever lived without one, especially for load development. The key to making them accurate and work correctly is having them on a ridgid frame. I also enjoy no pit duty!!

Started out with a rcbs reloading kit and dies. Eventually moved to turning necks with a drill, bushing dies and now use an idod but have recently been playing with no turn chambers. Have my own reamers now, went from benchsource annealer to amp. Still have my rcbs chargemaster but use a v4 and a Supertrickler. Both are very nice setups, can’t d…[Read more]
