If you remember, I announced a few months back that I intend to hold matches through 2030. That would be the remainder of this year and four more years. The good Lord willing. Just turning 75 has brought on a few more aches and pains. Anyway, I wish for this time to be both fun for the good shooter and competitive for all. A couple of things…[Read more]

Good Shooters, I am cancelling the July Mid=Range Match. I know that I asked everyone to register before tomorrow night at 7:00 pm but I have heard from enough good shooters to know already that we are not going to have enough to have a competitive match. I will try to get up with those registered for the match tomorrow and if any of you talk…[Read more]

Just a comment on the ‘hold off’ thing. I just now noticed that I had not turned my turrets back to zero. I shot the match with six clicks of left dialed in and I think all of my shots but two were aimed at the ‘X’ ring. Those two were hopefully aimed at the ‘X’ but for some reason decided to go low. For information purposes only: Shot 2 and…[Read more]

Last Saturday in all of the confusion and rain, I lost a battery to the saw and a blue sensor. Suze and I have enjoyed a few days at the beach so tonight after dinner I had her ride with me to see if we could find the lost pieces. We just got home and can report that we batted 100%. I had thrown the battery out speeding around a curve going to…[Read more]

Sorry for all of the fuzzy photos. It has been suggested that the photo below is what broke the camera. Anyway, sorry it happened, and everyone taking pictures will be required to be attend a ‘camera usage class’ before the next match. A big ‘Thank You’ to all that support our matches at Reese Bottom. Be sure and study the results of the match held last Saturday at Reese Bottom. You should notice how many of the top three positions in each division were won or lost by the ‘X’ count. I remember probably twelve or so years ago a group loaded up and went to Tullahoma, TN. for my first match ever. The .223 and I posted a 564 with very few ‘Xs’…[Read more]

Thanks Mr. Richard. First off, I hope that all of you daddys have had a wonderful Father’s Day. I have not heard otherwise, so I assume everyone got home okay. Was the worst weather that we have ever had to shoot in at Reese Bottom. I thought the shooting was great, when you could see the rings on the target. Be sure and visit the home page,…[Read more]

We have already had 3 + inches and it is raining…[Read more]

Please be advised, be aware of your rifle scope magnification at all times and do not allow it to hinder your shooting. It is hard to hold off two rings if you cannot see the ring. Below are my third match targets from February and May, three months apart. The first 17 shots on the February target were all shot on 80 power, and one should…[Read more]
