It was a very fun match and I want to thank the new shooters that came to the match. Surrill and I both had fun poking at one another. We’ll do it again.

I have used many different shields. I agree with the drawing that the best shape is the curved one on the right.
I make mine out of old window blinds. I think the last one I bought at a cheaper than dirt for about 5 bucks. Had enough panels to make 20 mirage shields

Temperature greatly affects your reloads. I shoot a midrange load in most of my rifles that is tuned to the middle of the node using a ladder test method of load selection. Therefore for me, when the temperature changes I’m still pretty close to my reasonance barrel frequency.

I too like a windy day. Some of the guys we shoot with know that I’m a mirage shooter. I have been for years. At some point, I should try to explain mirage shooting and the trusty mirage boards that I use to use when shooting point blank benchrest. I’ll work on putting something together.
