<p>Good to hear that things are moving towards Spring in WV. They are a little slow in the NE but I think we may hit 70 this weekend. I have been shooting H-4895 in the Dasher with the PB 105&#8217;s with I believe 32.4 gn and CCI450. I will check on the load when I get home but that load seems to work pretty well.</p>

I then use feral primers, soft, and jam the bullets .020, twenty thousandths. This seems to alleviate the misfires and pierced primers.</p>

I do however use a .266 nitride neck bushing when I full length size the case after annealing. I am ending up with about .0015 neck tension and it seems to work for me. <p>Like Wynne, I also use a Redding 6mm Dasher Bushing die. I anneal and full length size after every firing. I use a Wilson micrometer seating die with a small arbor press to seat bullets. This way I can seat them long and be able to fine tune at the range.</p>

<p>I use carbide dies but even with them I started to have trouble with the necks not sizing properly and springing back. I always use full length sizing but that being said when I started annealing after every firing I found the sizing became much easier and the consistency was much better. </p>

When I setup at Williamsport, 1000 yd., I try to always remember to lay the cross hair on the top edge of the target backer and level adjust the level so it is square to the backer. Otherwise the tracking does not stay straight. When I forget to do this it is generally quite apparent in the size of the group I shoot.</p>

<p>I have experimented slightly with neck bushings, in that I used a 267 bushing initially for the Dasher and found it was seating a little to easily for my tastes. I then went back to a 266 bushing and that made it better, this was with a 2704 chamber. <p>I was so excited with Ray shooting the 3&#8243; group I never asked him about the load. I believe he said the barrel was a Bartlein 5R. I don&#8217;t believe Ray is an especially fast shooter. </p>
<p>The bullet I been testng is a 105 VLD from Precision Ballistics in Nevada. <p>Thank you for the congrats. Ray Laudenslager shot the 3.340 group, he had a new barrel that he had just finished and put 4 rounds on the bank Friday afternoon after test firing two rounds at hi house. Next morning he shot the 3.340 from a Dasher for a new club record. </p>

<p>I was testing some loads yesterday and had a VLD jammed .008 running charges from 30.2 to 30.8. It was also in the mid 80&#8217;s with 70%+ humidity at 30.8 I did crater a primer pretty well. I believe you are correct in the thought that the fact you are jamming the VLD&#8217;s vs my jumping the Hybrid&#8217;s allows for the difference in charge weight.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wynne, it is not a compressed load I can probably get at least another grain or grain without compressing the load. The difference could certainly be the fact that you are jamming VLD&#8217;s versus my jumping Hybrids.</p>
<p>I am working up loads in the Dasher that are VLD&#8217;s and SMK&#8217;s that are just touching the lands. <p>The temperature was in the 80&#8217;s. No problem with the bolt lift. Come the World Open in two weeks I will probably keep the ammo in a cooler just to keep the pressures down. I was running 31.0 gn of Varget last year before Britt rechambered the barrel.</p>
