Al, I work on Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday, and go to church on Sunday. I have had very good results with a white, simulated, target and the camera. You pick the day and we will do it. WWE

Al, Many bushing dies come with a button that works on the same principal as the mandrel you mentioned above. For some reason, all of that got a bad reputation as far as case concentricity. Supposedly the bushings straighten the case neck and on the up stroke the button bends the neck a little. As far as using the mandrel as the last step, most…[Read more]

I received an email today from bullets.com that is advertising close out pricing on some RCBS Reloading stuff. I am not promoting this but thought somebody might find something and save a little. Safe Shopping, WWE

Al, I sure do appreciate you posting these topics lately. I am so sorry that the members of our chat forum are so unwilling to respond. They are all grown men and are too big and ugly for me to try to make them respond so I will tell you what little I know. My dasher barrel neck is .2704 and the outside diameter of a loaded round comes in about…[Read more]

Wynne Echols replied to the topic How many rounds? in the forum Reese Bottom Chat Room 11 years, 5 months ago
Al, I will take a shot at this one although I am not sure that there is an exact answer. I just looked back at the results of this month’s midrange match and noticed that several shooters matched or bettered there high relay score during the third relay. These rifles were still shooting pretty well after 70 or so shots. Would a clean barrel…[Read more]

Jim, thanks for this post. It is nice to know famous people. Excuse my ignorance, but please explain the format and also tell us what all of the numbers represent for a shooter. Good to hear from you. WWE

Dave, thanks for sharing this information in the forums. That is one impressive target. That would be all of our dream. I have a few questions and observations. Every shooter loves the first relay. Did Mr. Ray share any load data? What bullet are you experimenting with jamming and jumping? Can you attribute your recent success to anything…[Read more]

This is an interesting topic and a lot can be learned here. Steve, I was thinking after the Mid Range Match that I probably was unfair to your shooting with my verbal rant when I could not get out of the nine ring. Our problems both happened about the same time. I am sure that shooters are expected to be respectful of other shooters and I was…[Read more]

Dave Burkart continued his good shooting this past weekend at the PA 1000 yard club. Dave won his relay for score and finished 2nd in the shootoff. Just got a text from Dave and he informed me that he won the relay with a brand new Dasher barrel that Backwater Custom Rifles chambered for him and he shot the BR in the shootoff to finish 2nd. Also…[Read more]

I was thinking after the Mid Range Match last week that half of the shooters time is spent in the pits. With that being said, does anyone have a suggestion as to something that could be done that would allow the pit worker to learn from the results of the shots that are being pasted and scored? Thanks, WWE

The chat forum is in dire need of new topics. Until Dan and Steve posted today, it had been over three days since anyone posted anything. Please, come on people, help me out here. Surely some of you read something, see something, or experience something that could be shared on the forum. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could do…[Read more]

Al, I did use the new Seb Joy Pod during the match yesterday. The wider footprint of the rest is very stable and I personally like a joy stick. I also shoot my bench gun on a coaxial rest. I will also say that I think along with some other adjustments that I felt a lot more comfortable shooting from the prone position yesterday. I will admit…[Read more]

Thomas, just went to the shed and checked the scoring sheet. It was actually shot #3. I had set a goal to shoot 580, same as my failure last prone match and was very pleased with my personal best 584. With that being said, the way it happened was disappointing.(progressively worse) From what little I know, I would say that the conditions all…[Read more]

Dan, on our last trip to the pits, a big old ugly snake did crawl under the walkway but Ralph said it had a pointed tail which somehow made it harmless. Steve and I figured he knew what he was talking about. lol

Lance, I do not have and have not shot over a Farley rest, but I do have a Caldwell rest with a joy stick and I must say that I personally like the joy stick concept. From all that I have ever read, the Farley is very high quality. Good luck with your decision. WWE

The results for the July Mid Range Prone match are posted on the ‘Results’ page. We only had eight good shooters to show up so we all shot against one another. Everyone enjoyed a good day for shooting. The weather actually did us a favor by staying cloudy and relatively calm. Hope to see many of you in August. WWE

Lance, Ernie Bishop, Wyoming, is the dealer here in the states. Mine was about a nine month wait time. I have shot a few shots over mine, it seems very stable. Plan to shoot it this month in the prone match. WWE
