  • I ran out of room. I forgot to mention the mechanical division will use both group and score to determine winner and the tablet will be removed while the shooter is going for record.

I need name, caliber, and rest type when you register.

Please help me pass the word as we have a few regulars that do not internet.

  • On Saturday February 15, 2020 Reese Bottom will host the first match of the 2020 shooting season. The match will be four/five shot targets all shot at 600 yards and be score and sized by the Shotmarker E-Target system. It will be a bench rest match and the shooters will go to the benches two times and shoot two targets each trip. The rifles…[Read more]

  • Al, I tried to straighten up the photos. I’m betting you took the pictures with an Apple product and for some reason WordPress does not like Apple. Hope you did not mind me editing your post. WWE

  • Hey Wynn, my SEB Max Is for sale. $1450 shipped with all the extras you see in the photos. Please advise the good shooters at the range.
    Al Barr

I received the above email from Al Barr this afternoon. Probably should be on the other forum but I am not sure how many go there. I anyone is interested, I will be glad to try and help get in touch…[Read more]

  • The Mrs. and I spent last week in Las Vegas attending the Shots Show. The only way to explain it is ‘overwhelming’. Did a lot of looking, actually bought a pair of digital ear plugs. Chuck Norris drew a heck of a crowd at the Glock booth. Gavin Toobe, the Ultimate Reloader guy was recording an interview at the AMP booth. He is an interesting…[Read more]

  • I received a phone call yesterday and the good shooter asked me what I meant above when I said ” prepared to compete”. Well, I was not thinking about simply winning every match. If that were the case then most of ‘Us’ would have to stay home each month. My wish is only that all the good shooters that come to Reese Bottom just know their rifle…[Read more]

  • All comments to the above are welcomed. If anyone would like to speak with me in private, my cell number is 334-654-2462. Call me Alabama. lol

The first match of 2020 will be on Saturday February 15, 2020. This will be a 20 shot for record match shot from the benches. Four/five shot targets all at 600 yards using the Shotmarker scoring…[Read more]

  • I am going to use this topic to list a few new expectations that I would like to see from the good shooters that frequent Reese Bottom. First, thanks for your attendance and willingness to help with things over the last several years. We have come a long ways together and now it is time to enjoy what we have created. I stated in an earlier…[Read more]

  • If you are a member of this forum and have an opinion, please speak your mind. I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead at Reese Bottom, but at the same time intend to make a few changes. I have in mind a few things that I would like to do a little differently but at the same time do not what to try to impose my desires on the good…[Read more]

  • This is copied from a recent post on the Accurate Shooter Forum that I thought offered some interesting information about some of what we are about to embark on in 2020 at Reese Bottom. The poster stated that he was “preparing to transition from 600 to 1K” and asked what to expect. This was one of the replies that I thought was very interesting:…[Read more]

  • This conversation has got me wondering if there are others out there that might have questions about the Shotmarker E-Target System or even what we are trying to accomplish with the system. If in doubt about anything, please ask and if I cannot answer your question I promise that I will find you an answer. Plans right now are to use the system at…[Read more]

  • Wynne, why do you even bother with an offset in the first place? Answer, to save the target and esp. the sight picture from getting destroyed. The virtual X at 600 yards is 2 moa below the targets X and this past year the good shooters have shot a hole about the size of your head in the target. The sight picture at 600 is still perfect and we…[Read more]

  • Richard, it is on the PC but if you noticed last Saturday we did not take the time to name each group as we saved it. We used the save feature to simply clear each target. Worked for me, not so well for you. Remind me next time and we will get you fixed up. The group that I used above was easy to identify, others not so much. WWE

  • Brett, you have asked a question that has no exact answer as far as the exact offset. This is what I do know. I learn something new every time that we fool with this stuff. Michael Claunch and I fooled with this stuff for over a half day on Friday and left completely frustrated trying to make two targets work on different frequencies. You…[Read more]

  • Richard, if you would so kindly allow me to comment on your picture above, I would like to bring something to all good shooters attention. If you think back to yesterday, most good shooters were asked to take their known dope at 1000 yards and lessen by approximately three moa to get close to the virtual X. Now lets explain the three moa…[Read more]

  • The upper right corner mentions “unnamed” so I don’t know who’s target that is. lol. Learn to do that finger pinch thingy to expand the screen before you take the screen shot. My laptop screen is much bigger and allows that but your phone screen should allow for enough enlargement to ID the bullets. WWE
