Wanted to come hang out and watch but my Dad is not doing good and is back in the hospital. Dr. Has not released me to use my arm much yet but I am feeling better and wanting to get back doing things. Hopefully I will make next match with my rifle!

I don’t think there are any rules on the mat. I’ve saw people using bed pillows under their chest and I did too for a while after neck surgery! As for the wind conditions they wasn’t too bad. Well as bad as I needed rain I sure didn’t want it all on the morning of the match! We had a tin roof over our heads, coffee, sausage off the grill, and biscuits so we made out great waiting for the rain to stop!

I plan on having the steel challenge fun day on Saturday, Oct 24th. The format is unchanged. There will be 4 different stages with 10 shots fired at each stage. Non shooters welcome. I am postponing the match scheduled for Sat morning due to the weather. My area is calling for 80% rain Friday and 90% on Sat. We have worked hard this week getting everything ready but my place is flat and low. Gets sloppy quick. I will post a new date shortly and we will try again!

Targets are all set and ready. Will be monitoring the storm situation and if it effects us I will let y’all know by Thursday Night. Hopefully it goes another direction and we can enjoy a fun day of shooting steel.

Would like everyone here by 08:00 for safety briefing and biscuits. Chamber flags required until you sit down to shoot. Clean bathroom inside a house onsite. I should have 4 good spotting scopes coming but anybody can bring theirs if they want. Will have to rotate spotters and score keepers. Scoring will be “Impact” or “Miss”.
