KeymasterPlease use this topic to register for the Mid-Range Prone match to be shot at Reese Bottom on Saturday June 20, 2026. Please be ready to go by 8:00 am. I will have some food and drinks, so just bring your A game. The match will be 3 X 20 X 600. We only have four targets at 600 yards so we will take up to twenty good shooters for this match. Five can shoot from a bench. Remember that June, July, and August will all be shot at 600 yards leading up to the two day West Alabama Long-Range Championship to be held on September 19 & 20 2026. Please help pass the word about the match and let’s have a good crowd for the June match. Hope to see you there. WWE

KeymasterAn extra week between matches slipped in here somehow. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Wynne will shoot the .223 in the FTR Division.

Excited that it is finally match week. Seems to me like it has been forever since we were all at Reese Bottom. There are nine spots still available and one bench available.
Quick update. I have tried to ‘glue’ some wider tops on the concrete benches. I’m not convinced that the glue will hold over the long run. With that being said, if you attend the matches at Reese Bottom, please try not to lean or sit on these benches. Thanks, WWE

KeymasterWeather Watch!! Fellows, I know that it is just noon Tuesday, but this weather is going to require a good watch. We were just looking at the weather for the rest of the week and they are talking a cyclone. Whatever that is. We will watch things over the next couple of days before making a call. We have already had 3 + inches and it is raining as we write. Please keep up with me here and if anything changes you will be the first to know. WWE

KeymasterThe registration door has been closed for the June Mid-Range Prone Match. We have twelve good shooters registered for the match. The match will go forward, rain or shine. Reese Bottom and the entrance into are beyond wet. Thankfully, I was able to get some of the grass cut yesterday. We have five Open shooters, four FTR, and three Bench shooters signed up for the match. Bill Griswold has had to withdraw. I plan to shoot the .223 in the FTR Division but from a bench. Why? it will save a relay. If any of you prone guys want the bench you are welcome to it. I based this decision on the ‘age thing’.
A couple of suggestions: I would strongly suggest that you do not wear the slippers to the match that you plan to wear to church on Sunday. The road in should be okay until you cross the last creek. I suggest that you hug the right side until you get to the turn in. Do not get too far right because there is a concrete shelf trying to hold the road in place. Safe travels and we look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. WWE
