My hope is that many of you good shooters are as excited about this opportunity as I am. Remember, this is a first for me so please offer patience. I will be posting over the coming days as things come to mind. For those traveling from a distance, I would recommend that you get reservations at a motel in Demopolis, Al. Just a reminder that registration for the Alabama Long Range Championship opens at 7:00 pm on Sunday night August 16, 2026. A lot of the details are in the topic above. I will have a lot more to say in the days to come. Please do not confuse this with the registration for the August Mid-Range Prone match to be shot the day before. WWE

Good Shooters, I am cancelling the July Mid=Range Match. I know that I asked everyone to register before tomorrow night at 7:00 pm but I have heard from enough good shooters to know already that we are not going to have enough to have a competitive match. I will try to get up with those registered for the match tomorrow and if any of you talk…[Read more]

Just a comment on the ‘hold off’ thing. I just now noticed that I had not turned my turrets back to zero. Thanks Mr. Richard. First off, I hope that all of you daddys have had a wonderful Father’s Day. I have not heard otherwise, so I assume everyone got home okay. Was the worst weather that we have ever had to shoot in at Reese Bottom. I thought the shooting was great, when you could see the rings on the target. Be sure and visit the home page,…[Read more]

The registration door has been closed for the June Mid-Range Prone Match. We have twelve good shooters registered for the match. The match will go forward, rain or shine. Reese Bottom and the entrance into are beyond wet. Thankfully, I was able to get some of the grass cut yesterday. We have five Open shooters, four FTR, and three Bench…[Read more]

Weather Watch!! Fellows, I know that it is just noon Tuesday, but this weather is going to require a good watch. We were just looking at the weather for the rest of the week and they are talking a cyclone. Whatever that is. We will watch things over the next couple of days before making a call. We have already had 3 + inches and it is raining…[Read more]

Excited that it is finally match week. Seems to me like it has been forever since we were all at Reese Bottom. There are nine spots still available and one bench available. WWE

An extra week between matches slipped in here somehow. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Wynne will shoot the .223 in the FTR Division.
