Had a great time as always, thanks Mr. Wynne for putting on the match despite the wet, cold conditions. I watched Pat shoot for two relays and he did a great job for his first outing and it was great to meet Allen, I think his pocketbook might suffer some terrible hits in the near future!! Lol. I think Jessie might have caught on to the wind…[Read more]

Had a great time as usual at RB, thanks Mr. Wynne for running everything and feeding us. The conditions were challenging and never consistent, made for a fun match. It was great to see everyone and a lot of new equipment on the line, the level of competition will just continue to go up. Congrats to Chase on the ftr win, looks like the new barrel…[Read more]

Just wondering if anyone has been testing/tuning in the off season and going to implement some new gear, calibers, etc?

Let me start out by saying I had a great time shooting back in November, the food was outstanding and the fellowship and I look forward to hopefully being able to make more matches this year.
I prefer shooting a 3×20 but that’s mainly because of the drive I have. A pairs match by luck of the draw or however is fun, an actual team match I could s…[Read more]

Just curious as to how dead set you fellas are in your ways when it comes to powder choices, bullets, primers, testing methods? I used to test components a lot more before I had kids and now that time is of the essence and in short supply I’ve tried to get a few calibers down to where I can load and spend more time shooting. One example for me w…[Read more]

Well, it’s Christmas Eve and I know you all have some things you’re wanting/going to get! So let’s hear them, what’s on your list? I just had some rails put on my cerus stock and can’t wait to try it out now! Also, I’m hoping to get some new cabinets and shelving for my reloading room to help organize some of the chaos. I’m praying all of you fe…[Read more]

Jump or jam? I’ve done both with excellent results but since I primarily shoot fclass I prefer to jump my bullets. I don’t like pulling a loaded round and the bullet sticking. What is everyone else’s preference? Do you chase the lands? Set it and forget it?

Is there a particular bullet manufacturer you tend to pick because of consistency? Price? Loyalty? Nowadays, availability?
Do you sort bullets? By BTO or OAL? Have you been able to see a real difference on paper or does it make you feel better?
Do you trim meplats?
Do you point?
Weight sort?
Is there a bullet you want to try but haven’t?
I’m int…[Read more] -
Barry Holcomb started the topic Is a barrel tuner really worth it? in the forum Reese Bottom Chat Room 3 years, 4 months ago
Tyler and I both run tuners on our rifles and we had quite a few questions about them but first I’d like to ask, do you think they’re a novelty item? Maybe they work? Maybe they don’t? Do you want to try one? Are they just something else to spend money on?
I was pretty skeptical about tuners when I started putting them on my barrels a coupl…[Read more] -
Barry Holcomb started the topic What do you use to “read” the wind in the forum Reese Bottom Chat Room 3 years, 4 months ago
It’s cold and the days are short so I’m sure we’ve all had plenty of time to think about what we will implement/take away from our shooting setups this next year. With that being said, I really enjoyed visiting last month and one thing I noticed was the absence of spotting scopes on the line. I do travel quite a bit to shoot and it seems like…[Read more]

I have a Nightforce 8-32×56 NXS that I don’t use anymore and would like to sell. It’s in great condition, has the .1 MIL RADIAN adjustments, MLR reticle, and zero stops. Comes with original box and manuals and scope cap covers. Retails for $2177 and I’d like to get $1725 shipped. Would make a great FTR or open scope. Can email pics to anyone interested.

If you’re shooting a front rest I would recommend the spike feet and not the ones from sinclair. As far as a rear bag goes I like the protektor and edgewood. Edgewood is expensive but they are very well made. Protecktor is not cheap but less than the edgewood and you can buy them already filled with heavy sand. Most of the time you can call them…[Read more]

We always pulled targets at Memphis and then they purchased ar500 steel plates. They paint them white and spray a small gray dot in the middle and everyone gets 5 minutes of sighters on the first relay and 2 minutes on the second relay. They are placed in front of the target frames on the berm and repainted after every relay. No one has to be in…[Read more]
