November 2019 Bench Rest Match

On Saturday November 16, 2019 Reese Bottom will host a 600 yard bench rest match. This will be the final official shooting for 2019 at Reese Bottom. Plans are to have a fun 1000 yard shoot on Saturday December 21 if things go as planned. The November match will be a bench rest match consisting of four five shot targets all shot at 600 yards with the Shotmarker E-target system both scoring and measuring the targets. The point of aim will be official IBS 600 yard targets. The virtual ‘X’ is approx. 2 moa below the target ‘X’. We will divide the rifles into three groups as usual and have a count down fouler period before each target. A shooter will go to the line twice shooting two targets each trip. Prizes for the small group for the first three targets in each division and the fourth target will be the ‘Gunny Pot’ target. I will plan to have drinks and food so plan to show up and shoot well. I am asking all shooters to pre register their attendance so that I can get a head start on things. Please try to arrive by 8 am so that we can be shooting by 9 am.

Yes, you certainly can shoot a muzzle brake at the Reese Bottom bench rest matches.

I plan to have something for breakfast and lunch for those interested. Might even bring the coffee pot.

Plans are to have some coal for the heater if some of you early birds would get the thing started.

Hopefully we are going to catch a break with the weather. We have actually not had a whole lot of rain with the front that came through. If it were to be a little wet, you guys with four wheel drive please let the two wheel drives have the rock parking pad. Looks light we will have a good crowd and look forward to seeing you good shooters this Saturday. WWE
