For anyone reading this, please take it in the nature in which it is intended. Suze and I have been blessed during our stay here on this earth. But our biggest blessing is being able to share the earthly things that we have with others, in this case Reese Bottom Shooting Range. Although probably a private range, we consider it open to the public. We both applaud those that have been with us for the last ever how many years and we welcome that new person that might come for the first time. We welcome each of you but understand that you all come with the same status or standing. I say all of this to say that it has been brought to my attention that a very unnecessary comment or two has been made regarding Reese Bottom on another social platform. We are all grown ups and I have no control over your thoughts, deeds, or words. That is until it concerns Reese Bottom. For the ever how long, persons wishing to shoot the matches at Reese Bottom have been asked to register your attendance. So I want you to fully understand what you are registering for. We will host an announced match on the third Saturday, ten months a year. We will take the first 20 shooters to register with only 4 benches available. A shooter will pay $25 to participate. Of that $25, $5 goes to ‘gunny pot winner’ and $10 per division shooter will be paid back as winnings. The committee keeps $10 to help pay for bushhogging, weed eating, food, drinks, targets, etc. A real money maker. The thing is set up so that he that shoots best wins most, if that is what is important to you. If you choose to register, this is what I have to offer. If you disagree with any of it, please choose not to register, this is your choice to make. My wish is that you will register and come prepared to shoot well, enjoy yourself, and leave having done your best. One last new rule that I would like to enforce” If you are registered for 4 straight matches and you elect to no-show for 4 straight matches, please wait for 4 straight matches before you register again”. Surrell sent me a text this morning saying that things went well and the doctor said that everything looked okay. Please help us get closer to 20 than 8 next month. I’m not sure who said what and where they said it but when you talk bad about Reese Bottom I take it personal because I’m a Part of Reese bottom!
Mr Wynne has let us enjoy this range and has not ask much in return.
He has supported me over the years And for that I’m highly thankful.
With The equipment on the line today I don’t figure I will win but if I can reach the goals I set for the match THEN I have come ready to compete! I never leave a match mad because I didn’t win. I’ve always been a mountain climber and Reese bottom is one of my mountain and I like the challenge of doing it the hard way. one of my goals each month is to make Mr. Wynne smile I don’t alway reach that goal but I always try. Maybe more should have that as a goal as well.
