Wow after seeing the scores from Saturday’s match I felt like I was at the world championship, they were some shooters on fire. When I left home Saturday morning headed to pick up John, I felt like I could fulfill Mr. Wynne’s “what’s expected”. I was on the first relay and my first relay score was 199 11X that I was very happy with then I sat back and watched shooter after shooter shoot clean 200’s the 1st relay in open avg. 199 12X so as normal I’m shooting about avg. which made me feel better. 2nd. Open Relay avg. 197 9x mine 195 9X again about avg, 3rd. 197 9x mine 196 7X slightly below avg. What found out this Sat. Shooting slightly below avg. will win you last place in Open LOL. But I normally compare my score to the total match scores which was 591 26X mine 590 27X so I finished shooting Avg.
Bottom line in open if 2 of your 3 relays were not 200’s you finish out of the money
Again, there was some great shooting Sat. Con grads to the winner
My match goals as always Enjoy my friends at Reece Bottoms, come prepared to complete
And put a smile on Mr. Wynne’s face Sat. I did manage to get one grin from him. It’s always a sad trip home knowing I’ve got to wait a whole month before we can do it again

Richard, you look forward to the match and I look forward to reading your report. I think that my 592 score was my personal best three relay score and finished down the list. One thing that caught my attention was that my scores got progressively worse which tells me that as conditions change my ability to shoot suffers. When a spectator who has never shot a match takes your rifle when you are done and shoots your final three bullets(2 X’s & a 10) it makes you scratch your head. Nice to know there is room for improvement though. I always look forward to hearing from you and wish that more of our good shooters would take time to say a pleasant word about their experience at Reese Bottom. If I see many more of those 199-11X scores I might be forced to shorten my barrel. lol. WWE

As always it was a great time even if my wife beat me! We love shooting together and love shooting at Reese Bottom with such a great group of folks! Richard you shot great! As always thank you Wynne for hosting a great event every month! Hopefully we will see y’all next month!

Nice beautiful day for shooting. I enjoyed seeing everyone again and I can tell that almost every shooter at Reese Bottom has improved their game. Some of the best scores ever up there! I should have let someone else run my gun to do it justice. Lol. Had a blast anyway.
