May 2021 at Reese Bottom

On Saturday May 15, 2021 Reese Bottom will host a long range[1000 yard] pairs prone match. We did this once last year and everyone seemed to enjoy. Please register your rifle by Thursday night May 13 at 7:00 pm so that I can get things organized. Do me a favor and do not register until you are sure that you are coming. Anyone that cancels after registration closes will go on the naughty boy list. I promise to do the best that I can to divide things fairly, if you do your part. If several of you have an Open gun and a FTR gun, please agree to let me put you where I need you. We plan to pair an Open gun with a FTR gun and shoot three relays of twenty shots each with each pair of shooters shooting alternate shots or ten shots each per relay[plus sighters] Plans are to use the Big Red Clock, also. For all you long range guys, this will be the last 1000 yard match for four months.

Please be advised that the match scheduled for this Saturday will be shot at 600 yards, not 1000 yards as planned. I was waiting until this week to cut the range and the rains last night have made that impossible. I went over there on the tractor this morning and the place is standing in water and more rain forecast for the next two or three days. Sorry, but this is the best that I can do this month. Please feel free to withdraw if this is not what you wanted to shoot. Otherwise, see you Saturday. WWE

Wanted to come hang out and watch but my Dad is not doing good and is back in the hospital. Dr. Has not released me to use my arm much yet but I am feeling better and wanting to get back doing things. Hopefully I will make next match with my rifle!
