KeymasterOur hope is that everyone desiring to shoot the match next month has a fair understanding of what they are signing up for. We are attempting to hold a ‘Big Time Match at a Small Time Facility’. What? We are limiting the number of shooters to thirty because we only have the five targets at 1000 yards. This is something that I have thought about for a while now. I hope for this to be a very competitive match and because of some of the comments that I have gotten already I reserve the right to accept or decline any registration. I apologize for this statement but please, please come to try to win the trophy and not just enter a name for a chance at the prize table. [Again, sorry for saying this but please respect my wants for this one match] We offer matches ten months per year with an open invitation to all[most]. Match dates are September 19 & 20. $100 entry fee payable Friday afternoon at range of Saturday before match. Pays for the weekend unless you purchase something on the Buy/Sale table or a tee shirt or sweatshirt. Registration begins tonight at 7:00 pm and will close on Sunday night September 6th at 7pm. Also, please use this September date and time to cancel your reservation if something comes up. We mentioned yesterday too that any one person could only register two people. Our hope is for as diverse a group of good shooters as possible. Plans are to monitor sign up and we ask that no one try to take advantage of this that it might have to be dealt with. Remember, we only have the five targets. WWE

KeymasterMore ramblings. We are assuming good weather. The match will go on rain or shine unless there is a hurricane or the like. If things were to get bad, we reserve the right to alter the match requirements. Pay attention to these numbers. Planning to shoot three/20 shot matches on Saturday. Match #1 = 20 minutes with unlimited sighters. Match #2 = 18 minutes with 2 non-convertible sighters. Match #3 = 18 minutes with 2 non-convertible sighters. Matches 4 & 5 will be Sunday morning and will be pair fire for the Open and FTR divisions. The bench division will shoot first both days. Trust me to flip a coin to see if Open or FTR shoot first. Whichever, the other division will shoot first on Sunday. The conditions at Reese Bottom are relatively consistent and calm so no one should feel cheated. For instance, Kipp C shot a clean yesterday with his trusty .308 about 1:30 in the afternoon[sweet] In order to keep things moving, good shooters will be setting up their stuff to your left or right while you are shooting. For the good shooter, do not let this distract you and for the ones setting up, be polite and respectful. We will have a grill set up during the middle of the day and everyone is expected to eat while not shooting. It is the good shooters responsibility to be ready to go when the ‘Big Red Clock’ says so.

KeymasterContinuing: We will have a prize table of thirty items. Some better than others. Everyone will get something. We will draw a numbered chip from a bucket to determine the order of winners{do you feel lucky or not so} Our promise was to pay back all entry money, and it looks like the expenses are limited. We should have lots of cash pay outs for different accomplishments. All of this will be determined after the field is set. Already excited about this and beg for everyone to help it go off without a problem. I think that I am done for now.
Tonight at 7:00 pm ‘Apple Time’ there will be a topic that says, “Register Here”. I would like name, division, and rifle caliber. Good Luck and Thanks Again for your Support and Understanding. WWE

KeymasterForgive me but I need to make a change to something that I had posted in an earlier topic.
This concerns the five bench positions that we listed as reserved. I had stated that any unclaimed bench or ftr slots not claimed by Wednesday night could be claimed by open shooters. That remains true for the ftr division because they would be prone positions. But any unclaimed bench position would have to be claimed in the bench division. If any number of the bench positions tried to change to a prone division position that would necessitate another relay and I am not willing to do that. To shoot three relays at Reese Bottom will destroy two hours. What did I just try to explain. If all five bench positions are not claimed by 7:00 pm Wednesday and you were hoping to shoot Open, you could swap and shoot bench. If any ftr positions are unclaimed Wednesday at 7:00 they can be claimed by a good shooter wanting to shoot in the open division since they were both prone anyway. Sorry but my mind is spinning. WWE
