I try each month to leave the emotions of the last year and a half of my life at home when I go to Reece Bottoms But this month, I was a man on a mission that mission was to shoot a 200 for an early birthday present for my wife she loved and was always supportive of my shooting. With that said: For the last couple of months, I felt like I had a clean 200 in my future why because I’ve made a few changes in my rest my load and I had all the confidence that I now had A set up that was capable of doing that what I didn’t have with the mental focus to complete the mission I spent most of this week working on my mental focus and I was rewarded with my first 200. After I pull the trigger for the 20th time for record what seem like it took two weeks for that last scored pop-up which was an X I saw my wife look down from heaven give me a smile and a wink and at that point it didn’t matter what happen the rest of the day my day was made. And true to form my second relay was a total disaster I can give you 10 good reasons why but the bottom line I didn’t have the mental focus to overcome these obstacles. It is interesting that they were four 200’s shot the 1st. Relay and only 1 the second relay and let me stop here and congratulate Brett on his 400 which I understand is the first ever shot at Reece bottom! Like I stated in my report last month I considered myself an average shooter and I like to run the numbers each month to see how I do and I always combine both FTR and open. This month the match average was 391 I shot a 393 the average X count was 16 I had 20 we had a total of 16 shooters and I finish 5th which is all above average so I’m a happy camper I would like to thank Mr. Wynne And all my friends at Reece bottoms for the pats on the back congratulating me on my 200 that meant a lot to me and my family. One of the saddest things on the third Saturday of the month is the ride home when I realized it be another month before I can spend time with my friend Reece Bottoms. I hope someday I’ll be able to shoot Prone again but right now it’s just not in the cards but I’m working on it every day. Thank you all for letting me and that “thing I shoot” be a part of Reece bottoms
