Please visit the home page, the results page, and the photo page for recent updates. The rains came and were gone by match time which made for some good shooting conditions. You will probably notice on the results page that we were missing a large number of you good shooters. Please let us hear from you so that we know that everything is well. I heard rumors of recovery from surgery, had to work, change in job, or even off winning a national championship. Anyways, remember you are always welcome at Reese Bottom on the third Saturday of each month. Congratulations to our winners. The conditions were good and we saw some excellent shooting. Fun was had by all, and we even had a name change during the match. Capped everything off with a good burger and fries. August plans are to do it again at midrange for the last time of 2024. Hope to see many of you back at the range. WWE

While I am typing I will give my match report. The .223 was hard to handle this month. I thought that I had prepped the brass okay but obviously something went wrong. The rounds did not chamber very well. Nathan suggested that I push them forward with my finger and that helped. I actually loaded the same bullet that I had shot in May and I think it was a little warm for the July heat. Anyhow, I left the match needing to buy some new brass which, after looking, might be hard to find.

Please remember our own Champion Sniper. He is having a medical procedure on Monday. Kenneth is now recovering from a similar surgery. WWE

Looks like there were some very good scores shot again this month, the competition is getting tough!
I hate I missed another month but I was in Byers, Colorado shooting the inaugural fclass fullbore national championship. This match consisted of 3 fifteen shot strings for individual followed up by one 15 shot string per team member (4 man teams). Day one was at 800 yds, day two at 900 and day 3 at 1000. That range probably has the worst mirage I’ve ever encountered, 25-30x is all the power on a scope that was usable. The team that I shoot with won the overall agg and took home the gold medal. Tyler placed 10th which was a heck of a showing. I struggled a bit and finished middle of the pack. Overall, it was a great experience. Next month is fclass nationals in Lodi, Wisconsin so I hope to see everyone in September.
