It felt good to be back shooting with friends at Reese Bottom: Amen!
I got to thinking on the ride home last month by watching the big red clock I had plenty of time so I could slow my shooting process down like I did on my last relay in the February match and analyze my last shot, be it the wind or other things then gather my thoughts make any adjustment needed and pick when I was Prepared to start the next shot process. But again it was the third relay today before I slowed do and like last month my 3rd relay was my best. guess what I’m saying is the clock actually could be a Help to ME. Today I shot off of a different front rest a Joy pod. I bought the used Joy pod a year or so ago so I thought why not try to use it. Using the joy stick just doesn’t work for me right now so I’m basically using it as a standard bipod without the joy stick. I think the wider foot print helps with my gun torque problem And it is a lot easier to attach to my gun I’m still using the same rear rest set up that I’ve been using. After I had a few range days in the weeks leading up the April match to pre foul, check zero and what was my third trip playing with the Joy pod I felt good for the April match.
      On to the match
Using the scope setting from last month my 1st Sighter which was a 8 followed by 2 9’s 1 click adjustment both elevation and windage next shot X so I’m ready to go
Again I’m glad someone else is pushing the for score button!
      1st. Relay 189 2 X
      2nd relay
I struggled on making calls and my lowest relay of the day 188 but that relay was my best X count with 5
      3rd. Relay
Was my best for the day at 191-3X
      For a total of 568-10X
      Checking my goals:
I’ve change up some my goals with score being put up now days is going be hard to shoot avg. So now I’m completing against my self by trying to match or beat for my best score for that distance My last month my score for 1K was 576, today was 568 so goal not reached
Keep my avg.1k relays 190 today 189.3 close but no cigar
Finish strong: again today my last relay was my best goal reached
      Have fun goal reached
Thank you Mr. Wynne for letting me be apart of Reese Bottom
Congrads to todays winners Looking forward to going back to 600 next month

Nathan Howell shot a 600-50x. His high single string was 200-19x.

Yes Mr. Richard, the dasher has shot better recently since it got some new hardware. Last month was by far the best 1000 yard score that I have ever posted and we topped that this month with the 596-37 X. I shot a clean target at 600 yards with the .223 and actually shot 595 twice with the same rifle. I am very proud of the targets but am even more proud of my loaded rounds this month. I just went into the Shotmarker archive and pulled up the three targets from the April Long Range Prone Match. Target #1 the average speed at the target was 1549 fps with an SD of 4.9. Target #2 the average speed at the target was 1550 fps with an SD of 4.7. Target #3 the average speed at the target was 1549 fps with an SD of 4.5. Not bragging but I would think that is pretty consistent over 60 rounds down range. I am a very fortunate and thankful shooter for the advice and suggestions that I have been given lately. Now we should all anticipate the temps rising, sun shining, and the monkeys jumping. Should be a different story then.

ps. I think that I was so impressed with our lunch that we forgot to say ‘Grace’. Someone please remind me next time. WWE
