Jim Fowler had to cancel. He has a long drive and the weather isn’t looking great.

Nice shooting Mr. Richard!! The last two scores you put up are impressive. Hate I couldn’t make it.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and new year! February is fast approaching, anyone been shooting or going to be shooting and testing to up their game for the coming year? I’ve been breaking in new barrels on the days that aren’t terribly cold.

I’m partial to brux and accurate shooter seems to be a good of place as any to find a blank without the wait.
Call Ken at brux and see what the wait time is. -

Ron, nothing wrong with the dasher at all and a fresh barrel is always a good idea.
A 7mm is great for long range and mid range but brass is hard to find for a 284 right now. The magnums seem to be taking over at long range -

Just curious if anyone has any new rifles/calibers they’re going to be trying out in 25’? Maybe just swapping bullets? Powder? Etc?
Maybe we could ask questions here and see if anyone has any prior experience to help others save some time and money or help enhance what we are already using? Just a thought. -

I tried one different variable in each string to see if I could find something better than my “go to” load I usually shoot. One string was a different neck tension. One was a lower powder charge and the last was the hotter powder charge. The loads ended up being terrible so the mirage was not a factor for me.
It seems like everywhere I go the…[Read more] -

According to Surrell, his 308 will shoot through any condition! Lol. In all seriousness, not sure what the conditions were when they shot but I did see a lot of boils and pickups and that will definitely cause vertical. I was testing a couple different loads in my rifle and I know to stay away from all of them because my targets reflected that.…[Read more]

Surrell, there is a good node down where you’re at but there’s also a good one where Ron and Wynne mentioned. 33.0-33.4 has always been where mine liked it at. Do a jump test from 10-30 off and somewhere in between it will shoot. I like Cci 450 personally and lapua brass.

I didn’t get to come down and shoot as many matches as I would’ve liked but the ones I was able to attend I had a great time. It’s a breath of fresh air for me to go to a match that’s laid back but competitive. The fellowship and ppl are what make Reese bottom. It takes a lot to put these matches on, feed everyone and keep up with all the mainten…[Read more]

Heads up for anyone wanting a labradar. I’m selling mine for $200 and can bring to the match. Includes carrying case, labradar base, microphone for suppressors, etc. I can send pics 901-827-3962.
Nothing wrong with it at all, works flawlessly. -

Looks like there were some very good scores shot again this month, the competition is getting tough!
I hate I missed another month but I was in Byers, Colorado shooting the inaugural fclass fullbore national championship. This match consisted of 3 fifteen shot strings for individual followed up by one 15 shot string per team member (4 man teams).…[Read more] -

The first match is in the books, from what I heard the conditions were pretty sporty. Anything you’re going to change going forward or learned something and will apply it at the next match? Looking forward to shooting with you all next month.
