On Saturday, May 18, 2024 Reese Bottom will host a midrange prone match. The match will be a 3 X 20 X 600 yard event. Remember, plans are to shoot at 600 yards the months of May, July, and August with the June match being cancelled. I ask that the good shooters please arrive by 8:00 am so we can get things going on time. I will have some food and drinks. Other than that, things will be done as always. Reminder, I will only take twenty good shooters with four able to shoot from a bench. Please use this topic to register your attendance by Thursday night May 16, 2024 at 7:00 pm. Looking forward to a great match and don’t forget to dial those turrets back from 1000 yards. WWE

It is Thursday May 16 at almost 10:00 pm. We are closing registration for the May Mid-Range Prone Match. We have twelve good shooters signed up for the match. Seven Open shooters and five FTR shooters. Sorry to be late with this but I have been at a grandson’s graduation. I have the six hundred target stands up and ready, but we need to watch the weather. They have storms predicted for here so here is the deal. I will not cancel the match unless absolutely necessary. If we get a lot of rain, the creek could get across the road. If something changes, I will post an update here by 6:00 am Saturday. If that were to throw some of you late, we will wait on you. You can call my cell 334-654-2462 but please wait until after 5:30. Hopefully, the weather will have passed through by then and we will be good to go. WWE

Fellows it is about 9:30 Friday night. Suze and I have just gotten home from a graduation party and tried to ride to Reese Bottom. We have had a ton of rain today with more to come. I have no choice but to cancel the match tomorrow. See photo. We are supposed to get more tonight. Hopefully everyone will come here and see this. I called Richard Allen already. Pat Simpson and the Howell’s had already cancelled. If any of you know of someone above signed up that might not get the message, please contact them. It would help my feelings if those of you that read this will respond so that I will know.
Richard Allen and I agreed that if we could get enough to agree, we would be willing to try again next Saturday so you might respond to that if interested. Sorry, WWE

Good Shooters, I am sorry for all of you that make arrangements for the third Saturday mornings and then have your plans interrupted. With the water across the road and more rain predicted, I felt like it was better to make the call last night rather than this morning.
Let’s announce a shoot for next Saturday the 25th and reopen the registration until Thursday night the 23rd at 7:00 pm. Several mentioned that they would not be able to make it, which I understand. If we cannot come up with ten or twelve good shooters, in my opinion, it would be hard to have a competitive match. We will watch the registration and make a call next Thursday night. This thing walked by the camera at Reese Bottom a couple of nights ago. I do not see a tail but it is odd looking to be a bobcat.
