I hope all is well with each of you. Please see the Home Page for the Shooter of the Year standings through the first four shoots of 2023. If the column is blank, you did not participate, * means you were present but did not place. The rule is that a shooter must participate in seven matches within the division to qualify. On Saturday June 17, 2023 Reese Bottom will host a Mid Range Prone Match. 3 X 20 X 600. I’ll take up to twenty good shooters and four can shoot from a bench. Please register your attendance here in this topic by Thursday night June 15 at 7:00 pm. Thank you, WWE

Pat Simpson 6 Creedmore-Open
Wynne .308 FTRAt noon Wednesday we have sixteen good shooters leaving up to four more spots. This weather is very unstable. The road to the range could be sloppy but should be okay to get to range. Loggers crowned the road with loose dirt and this rain has made a mess. WWE

Registration for the June Mid Range Prone match is closed with sixteen good shooters signed up. Looks like nine Open and seven FTR. On paper, it would appear to be a very competitive match. Please arrive before 8:00 am so that we can get things going. I will have something to eat and drink. Not sure what tomorrow will bring regarding the weather, but I can assure you that the road from the creek to the turn in will be sloppy and around the shed will be yucky. See ya Saturday, WWE

Friday 11:45 am update. I just rode over to the range. The creek has been over the road and the slab at the shed, but other than that nothing is blocking the road. The sun is out here now but a chance of rain later this afternoon, hopefully not. The road is passible for sure by truck but if I were traveling by car I would recommend making arrangements for someone to pick me up at the barn. Just leave the car on the slab at the barn. I would also be glad to come get you on the Palaris. We have had upwards of 7″ of rain this week. Hopefully we catch a break tomorrow. WWE
Ps: please watch the weather and if things change, I would check here before leaving home in the morning. Hopefully things will be okay for some good shooting.

9:00 pm. Here is what I know. Just got in from a Father’s Day dinner with the youngest daughter’s family. Linden is right in the middle of a long line of ‘radar red’ and it is flooding. I plan to get up at approximately 5:00 am to see what is happening. I need to go see if the creek is across the road. We have had over 2″ and it is still flooding. My hope is that all of you are following me here on the website. I will say a yes or no in the morning by 5:30 so please do not leave home until you see the results of my post. We are well over 10″ rain for the week and the creek has been across the road and the pad at the shooting shed already this week. If you represent someone else here on the website, please keep them updated. I promise not to call it unless absolutely necessary but I do not want to put up the electronics in the rain. WWE

Fellows, I have no choice but to cancel the match. The creek is across the road this morning which means it is probably on the slab with more to come. Please help pass the word. Sorry, WWE
