We all hopefully survived. I think ‘The Bottom’ won yesterday from the comments that I overheard. The winds were switchy or twitchy or something but all in all it was a fun day of shooting. Fifteen good shooters shot the match with some doing better than others. lol Actually, the food turned out better than the shooting. We did not get to use the ‘Big Red Clock’ because the generator had gotten wet when the flood waters got up about five or six inches into the little house there at the range. First time ever. Happy to report that John Sanders has sent me a video of the generator running after he and friends cleaned it up and blew it out good. Nice to welcome Jamie Penton, and wife, as first time visitors to Reese Bottom. Thanks to all that so willingly help pull this off each month, we could not do it without you. See the home page, results page, and the photos page for updates. Plans are to shoot to a 1000 yards the next couple of months so check back around the first of next month for more info about the April match.

PS. there was a set of muffs left on the ‘Big Red Clock’. Rumor was that they belonged to a M. Boykin. He left his rear bag at home before coming so I guess he left things both coming and going. ??? Be safe, WWE

Well, I left the match yesterday very disappointed that no one congratulated me on my nineteen sighters shot in the third relay. I always worry trying to make sure everybody’s button gets pushed and then forget to punch my own. As you know, we were giving four sighters in the last two relays yesterday. In relay three, my sighters were an X, a 10, and two 8’s, both low right at 4 o’clock. There was nothing that I could see with the condition that should make the bullet hit low or right. That left me more concerned about how I was going to get back to the X ring with my first record shot than me pushing the button. Hence, nineteen sighters. I noticed what I had done after shot fifteen. I had dropped one point on the previous eleven shots so with four more to make fifteen for record, disgust set in and I shot four straight 9’s. I think the results show that the mind and concentration play a big part in shooting well at a slow fire match. Next month someone will be nominated to help me get my button pushed, just saying. What’s your story? WWE

      Wynne,
Glad to see you are able to start your season and will be out to 1,000 yds shortly. We are stating the end of April and hope to have a full season. Aim small, shoot smaller.
