Please use this topic to register for the August Mid-Range Prone match to be held at Reese Bottom on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Registration for the match will close Thursday night August 13 at 7:00 pm. We can take up to twenty good shooters with five able to shoot from a bench. Please be ready to go by 8:00 am. 3 X 20 X 600. I will have a little something to eat and a few drinks. Prizes for the winners. Please help pass the word about our matches. Remember this is the last 600-yard shooting of the year. Hint: Possibly ever. A competition needs competitors. We will be writing about two different matches over the next couple of weeks, so please do not get confused. WWE

If you remember, I announced a few months back that I intend to hold matches through 2030. That would be the remainder of this year and four more years. The good Lord willing. Just turning 75 has brought on a few more aches and pains. Anyway, I wish for this time to be both fun for the good shooter and competitive for all. A couple of things that I have been kicking around, and I would love to hear your comments before doing something not very smart. Possibly only shooting at 1000 yards and make them all V2 eligible. The other thing would be to shoot in December and January and drop the months of June, July, and August. I’m hearing that cold is better than hot. Please do not get bent out of shape over this but if you have a comment one way or the other, I would love to hear from you. WWE
