I’m late getting this out but better late than never. After the last match was cancelled I thought I might be able to go shoot a few rounds. Then I asked and was granted permission. I always wanted to load at the range while working up some load data. So after a complicated morning with some work details I started gathering up what I thought I might would need. You can’t get but so much stuff in a small suv but got it all in the and left out tail wagging down the highway. It was about 2:00 pm and I thought the mirage would be show nuff kicking by now. About half way there I started doing a check list. Bullets, naw I’m reloading today, how about scales, press, maybe I have what I need. This ride doesn’t handle the load my truck does that’s for sure. Finally make to the range and it was strange no one was hear, peace and quiet, nice, fixing to messed that up. And I found out why they put that clear plastic top on the electronic scale it went crazy when the breeze ran through the shed. All in all I enjoyed the afternoon and learned a few lessons for next time. So to all who missed the match ,I finally won one! The main reason this I’m writing this is to thank you Mr. Wynne for letting me use the range and I really enjoyed it.

That’s great Kenneth! Nothing better than tuning at the range and getting in some practice. I don’t know why more ppl don’t take advantage of it. I realize some people have limitations and that’s understandable but practice makes everyone better. Look forward to seeing next month.

Well I got A little range time today myself, I treat my middle granddaughter to lunch lunch and she treated me by taking me to the range. I started off by shooting / fire forming 5 Pieces of brass just to foul the barrel. I brought 5 different loads with 5 rounds of each. The first 3 had the powder charge I’ve been shooting but three different seating debt none of which put a smile on my face but did put a bump on my nose. Loads 4 and 5 each had different powder charges which was lower than what I have been shooting but each had the same seating debt which is not what I have been shooting. Both put a smile on my face and no bump on my nose.
4 had a slightly better group but more vertical and higher SD and ES than 5 but 5’s group was more round an had a SD of 5.4 and ES was 14.4.
After I got home I loaded 10 each of 4 and 5 to see if they repeat then make the call . I also work on the way I address the gun and was happy with that as well just not sure if it will work on bench #1. BUT nobody at Reese Bottom needs to be on upset alert I’ll still be shooting the same old junk and hitting the same old “8” and coming in somewhere around last place. I’m headed to the Dasher Dome next week, I think that egg at 800 yards will hatch before I hit. See y’all in April
