As always my #1 goal is to make Mr. Wynne smile or at least not Make him frown. And to do that was goal #2 NOT to crossfire so I spend most of my time in between each shot checking and double check that I am in fact I’m on the right target and yes I reach that goal thank goodness!!
On to the match
Well the way it worked out I’m on branch #1 but assigned target #2
So I’m really nerves now, but that will only make me work harder not to crossfire. I put in a safe 1K settings and best could make call on the conditions and make sure I’m on target #2 when the lines is called hot ready or not it show time. First Sighter as all ways seams to take 2 hours to pop up and when it did it’s an 8 but hey I’m on target and it is target #2 after a couple clicks next Sighter 10 followed by more tens and 9’s with one X
I actually I used of my sighters trying to make some condition calls. So I think I ready for score. First two shots for record 10, X so now I think I now what doing then I found out I don’t because I shot three 9’s in a row ok that approach didn’t work as planned let’s try something different which resulted =3-10’s and 5 X’s and only 1-9 out of 9 shots, again feeling like I’ve it figured I proceeded to shot my second three 9’s in row. I can’t remember the last time I e shoot three 9’s in a row but I did it twice in this relay. Finished the 1st. Relay 192- 7X which after seeing the shooters score made me somewhat better.
Relay #2 which now is called match #2 with the new software
This relay or match as it is now called went south in a hurry when I talk about 3 nines in a row WELL this one not only had FOUR 9’s in a row but also had two 8’s 187-4X’s
Match 3
So I’m setting between relays taking to my self trying to decided my next approach and I’m clueless wondering around unattended in the dark!
Suck it up buttercup it game time.
The 1st. Sighter an 8 which was not what I need right now. The next 6 sighters 10’s and X’s with one 9. Feeling just a little better let’s go for score and not only did I have another 3 nines in row I had a 6 nine’s in a row which I’m not sure if I’ve ever done that before!

Bottom line what I’ve been trying is not working I’ve got to go back to what did work, I’m trying to process to much data and in doing so I’m not executing the shooting process fully, mental game

Reece Bottom
The last how many years I’ve got to shoot at Reece Bottom I’ve seen a lot of changes. When I started here it was basically a bunch of “good ole boy” shooting what they had. I’ve seen it progress out to 1k, I’ve seen some of those good ole boy turn into shooters that could compete on The big stage. Why, because they had to. The point I’m making to get good you have to shoot against the best and learn from be the best. Barry and others have help them good ole boys climb the ladder and I thank him/them for that! As for me I know I peaked years ago and with me no longer driving my shooting practice is very limited. but as long as I can still be competitive I’m not cashing in my chips until my kids or Mr. Wynne tells me it’s time. Mr. Wynne Has a vision for the future of Reese Botton I hope I get to watch it play out. I’ve really enjoyed watching the competition in FTR this year these guys are going head to head every match you never know who’s going to win till the last round is fired. This is what Mr. Wynne has ask us todo come ready to Compete. He has work hard to give us a place todo that and the last couple years I haven done my part and I apologize for that. I may never win again BUT I’m going to give 100% effort in trying.
And remember I speak and type in Sand Mountain English which don’t always put the punctuation Marks in the right place and auto correct keep spelling the words wrong.
