I know it’s cold but who has been out shooting? I’ve been doing some testing with the 7-6.5prc, trying different primers and powders. I can’t say I’ve gotten any new toys just trying to make the ones I’ve got shoot a little tighter.

I have taken both of my 6BR rifles to have barrels chambered for. I got the first one back and got to break it in and get the load worked up on it on a few of the warm days we have had over the last month. The other rifle is still at the shop waiting to get its attention. Then I may or may not have a new rifle in the works that may or may not make its first match early this season. I guess we will all have to wait and see.

January 7, 2024 It has been a while since I have been active on the website. I hope all is well with you and that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Since we last met, I have had my carpal tunnel surgery and have hopefully about gotten back to normal. It was a little slower recovery than I had planned for with some unexpected swelling and pain. This past Friday I got three fingers shot we steroids and it seemed to correct all that I was dealing with. Needless to say, I have done zero shooting but will report that the Dasher has a new barrel and we are looking forward to shooting it this coming year. Hopefully we will begin shooting for the year on the third Saturday in February. I have changed the dates on the “Events Page” for the upcoming year. Everything will basically be done just as the previous year. I will list the February shoot around the first of the month, so now is a good time to begin preparing. As always, we are open to suggestions. WWE

I looked at the 2024 events page hoping to see a team match, no team match makes me sad. I maybe shooting one of my new Tooter Shooters sometime this year one of my new 308’s or a new Dasher. I have 7 new 308 barrels threaded up and a Dasher, I’m thinking I need a new barrel put in my yellow 308 and that should set me for life on my rifle’s. I still have to order 2 or 3 new stocks and get the new one’s ready. Skyelor and I have plans to try to shoot more in Mississippi this year and I may not be able to make all the matches at Reese Bottom, I’ll just have to see how things work out this year. I’m getting older and still have other places I’d like to shoot and may try to get those places off my bucket list this year, just trying to spend these last few years I have left shooting with Skyelor at different ranges.

Well I will be shooting the same ole ugly stuff I have been shooting against all this pretty and new stuff all y’all got. And pretty much all my match shooting will be at my favorite range Reese Bottoms with all my favorite shooter. Look forward to watching how shooter of the year plays out that added a little more competition/friendly drama that I can just sit back and watch how it plays out. Still working on keeping my Mental focus of the shot process for the whole match

Looking forward to February match, miss all the joking and fellowship, I will be shooting same stuff as last year, I felt like I was maybe getting it worked out when the season ended so maybe I can pick up where I left off. Been kinda busy with holidays and work no shooting at all but plan to near coming weeks.
