We will use this topic to register for a long range prone match to be held on Saturday February 17, 2024. Plans are to run things this year as we did last year. Preregister, twenty total, four benches, arrive by 8:00 am, see events page. We will award another Shooter of the Year in the two divisions this year. Must shoot seven of the scheduled ten matches in a division to qualify. Hope that everyone is excited to get back to shooting as I am. WWE
As I mentioned at our last match, I had carpal tunnel surgery that following Monday and to be honest things have not gone as expected. My hand still has swelling but the main issue is that something in the anesthesia has thrown my body a curve. Been pretty rough dealing with the inflammation and discomfort. Anyway, that’s my story. Hope to see many of you on the 17th.

Nathan, just a reminder. I only take max twenty good shooters each month. The first four to claim a bench get one so yes Steve can shoot from a bench. I will not agree to hold a spot for a possibility. I suggest that you monitor the registration here and if it gets to fifteen or so make a yes or no decision. The fact that we only have four targets limits the size of the match. Most months we usually have a pretty even split between the two divisions. Wednesday morning, February 7th. At this time we have nine good shooters signed up. Two of the benches are claimed. I forgot to mention but registration will close at 7 pm on Thursday the 15th. Mr. Richard Allen had to withdraw. Talked with him this morning and his wife fell a broke her arm. Please remember them. WWE

Sunday night finding time to dodge watching the super Bowl. Shoot week is finally here and there are several slots available. Remember the first four to claim a bench and the first twenty overall to register get in each month. I wanted to mention something here that was mentioned in another topic. Rain. This time of year you never know. I will not cancel a match unless it is absolutely necessary. With that being said, I am concerned with my limited means of communication. This webpage is my best means of communication so I advise everyone to check here before leaving home if there is any doubt. My cell number is 334-654-2462 but I do not like 4:00 am phone calls. Maybe 6:00 am. If you travel from afar, we probably need to make the call the night before. Hopefully this will not be an issue, but just in case. WWE

Registration for the February 2024 Long Range Prone match has closed. We have sixteen good shooters registered for the match, ten open shooters and six ftr shooters. Please arrive by 8 am so we can get things going. Looks like the weather may cut us a break. I will have some food and drinks as usual.
Talked with Jessie Smith today. He has hurt a shoulder and will not be shooting this month. My hand is still swollen and weak so I am planning not to shoot this month. Will need my usual helpers to help for sure.
Barry and Tyler are a part of a five man team competing this week out west. There is a thread on the Accurate Shooter Competition Forum where you can keep up with their shooting.

About the only stipulation is that the winner must shoot at least seven of the ten listed matches is a division to qualify. Looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday. WWE
