Single Stage or Two Stage Trigger?

Which would be a better bench gun trigger single stage or two stage?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say single stage. With a light 2-6 oz trigger for a bench gun, I’m just don’t know if you can feel the second stage. If not, it will make for an extra long trigger pull. With that being said, I never shot a two stage trigger that was that light and assuming that less than a pound would be your bench gun set up.

I’m with Dan and Al. The first bench rifle that I ever had was an Out-of-the-Box Savage with their accu-trigger. I think that would qualify for a two stage and my first modification was to replace it with a Rifle Basic trigger. If your finger touched the trigger before the first stage was satisfied, the rifle would snap. Also, like Dan mentioned, a very long trigger pull. They will work, but take some getting use to. WWE
