July 2024 Midrange Prone Match

If you are like me, it seems like forever ago since we shot. Suze, the grandboys and I had a wonderful trip. US Open, Charleston, Sea Island, Savannah, and back home. 1500 miles. On Saturday, July 20, 2024 we will get back on schedule with a midrange prone match. The match will be 3 X 20 X 600. We will do things as we have in the past. Please use this topic to register your attendance. We take twenty shooters max with four shooting from a bench. Registration closes at 7:00 pm on Thursday July 18. If you slipped off and shot somewhere else, tell us about it. WWE

I shot a 22lr match at my local gun club very challenging and yes I shot a handgun against rifles, 2min unlimited sighters then 10 shots for score in 3 mins for each distance/ relay you move and set up for each distance/relay.
Shooting steel which gets bigger with distance, 3/4 by 2 at 50,75,100,125.150 and 4by 5 at 200. Full line start which I started on 125 line and finished on 100 yd. Line My score was not that good but I reached my goals for 1st. Time

Registration for the July Midrange Prone match is closed. We have eleven good shooters signed up. Seven Open shooters and four FTR shooters. Please be here by 8:00 so that we can get things going. The weather is questionable but the showers have not lasted long so we should get things done. Eleven shooters should be able to stay under the shed. I will have food and drinks. As bad as I hate to miss it I’m going to have to cancel tomorrow, had surgery and still under doctors care, he said no. I signed in thinking I would be good to go, had appointments yesterday, he said at least two more weeks, so y’all have fun see ya in August
