Well, Saturday started off a little Rocky my 1st 2 shots and I’m not on paper, My 1st thought was I’m a revolution off on my elevation which I’ve been guilty of before. After rechecking and double rechecking still not on paper. With some spotter help we figure out my wind was way off. It took 5MOA of left windage to get me on paper. Thanks to Mr. Wynne for allow me to find the problem and Barry and other for spotter help it took 7 sighter shot to get me ready for score. Still a little shaky I was still able to shoot a 181 5x what was somewhat funny those 5x’s was the second most on the 1st. Relay in open behind Barry’s 6. I set back and tried to chill after that relay When called to the line for 2nd relay I was still concerned about that 5 MOA of Left windage I had to dial in but my 2nd relay score of 184 proved it was needed but this relay I could not find the X ring but hey my score was higher. And I set back between relays and watch other shooter struggle with wind calls I thought maybe I’m not shooting as bad I thought and I was very happy that my 3rd relay 189 5X was my best relay of the day so I did end my day on a positive note which is always good especially being the last match of the year. I always set goals for a match and one of them was to improve my score each relay which this year my relays seam to get worse in stead of better So I was happy that Sat. Each relay scored higher. As normal I run the number for match avg.
The Match avg. score was 561 and 11X mine 554 10x
So I finish slightly below avg. in both which was not too bad considering my rocky start. Mr. Wynne ask me what I learned:
Not to give up and if having a problem get help which is easy to get from the shooters at RB and again thanks for that. I’ve got a lot of support from the shooters at Reese Bottom over the last few years with all the things that gone on in my life that what makes Reese Bottom special to me. It’s alway sad the last shoot of the year. Hope all has a great holiday season, and enjoy time with family. Good Lord willing me and that thing I shoot will see y’all in February.
