The Load blessed us with great weather for Shooting A-men
Last match I struggled with bullet speed dropping below sub-sonic and not registering. I’ve got the popup warning before but the shots scored but not last month. So I’ve spent the last two weeks trying get my sped up without losing accuracy. And today looks like its working not only did all shots score but I shot my highest 1K score!
The 1st. shot of a match I’m always a little nerves this one even more so because wonder if the load would register but also not sure of scope dope. So I just started with what I use last month. The shot scored was a very high/ right 5 but with good speed normally I don’t make major changes after the 1st. I shot but with a 5 I did I cam down 1 full MOA and left 2 clicks which gave me a “safe” 7 down again 1 MOA and left 1 click which produced 3 9’s but still right so now I’ve used my “allotted” 5 sighters so down 2 clicks and left 2 clicks and going for score 1st. shot for score an X but that X was followed by two 9’s then by a mixture of x’s 10’s and more 9’s for a 1st. rely of 192-6 X’s which matched my best relay ever at 1K so happy camper. But 2.5 below were I started but my @ target speed was somewhat safe 1251 fps.
2nd rely started good with 3 10’s then a 9 followed 3 more 10’s before a mixture 9’s 10’s and X’s
Which gave a 193-3X which is the best 1K rely I have ever shot which made me feel a whole better about shooting “ that thing I shoot” @ 1K!
3rd. rely Started out 9,10,X 9,10, X, so feeling pretty good with more mixture of 9,10,X then about shot 13 an 8 busted my bubble. But even with that 8 I finished the relay with another 193 with 5 X’s and my highest 1 K match with a 578-8X
Running the numbers
Open avg. was 577 10X’s
RTR avg. was 573 9 X’s
Match avg. was 575 9.5 X’s
my score was 578 14 X’s

So like I say I’m about an avg. shooter with below avg. equipment
