Richard, I broke out a new spotting scope. Was pleased with the setup but I really struggled with what I am seeing. I did catch a switch in the third relay. I am having a hard time determining where to hold in relation to what I think I am seeing. Not able to tell the intensity of the movement. Will report also that the dasher is now in five pieces waiting on a new barrel. I definitely need a lot of range time to try and figure things out. I guess we will see if an old dog can learn new tricks. It really amazes me at the difference between mid range and long range shooting. WWE

Looking at the mirage and conditions and taking a mental snapshot goes a long way. If it looks like everything in front of you is moving fast in a wave across the whole scope, don’t shoot. When it’s trickling it’ll be closer to the ground a lot of times. If it’s gusting really hard, it’ll sometimes be harder to see- it will almost look like it’s still so you’ve got to look at the grass and all or find a spot with good contrast. That’s what I do, anyways.
