Richard SlatonParticipantWow what an all star cast We had today a lot of new to me faces which is good I get Tired of getting beat by the same ole ones. With all these nationally known shooters and it being V2 qualifier I kept looking around to see if Eric Cortina and Fclass John were here to do a UTube video didn’t see them so I guess they didn’t get the memo. Reese Bottom has made it to the big times if nothing else a V2 qualifier. And now with 5 E Targets. I knew today would be a stressful day for Mr. Wynne making sure everything went smooth not only for the regular match but for the new to us V2 as well. But he had a lot of help with Barry and Scott plus a few others thanks and if you didn’t notice Wynne didn’t even shoot.
Match time ready or not
Ok here I am setting on the line with a homemade marage shield that I’m not sure will stay on in front of a range full strangers to me that shoot National matches regularly With some great looking setups and I’m setting on the line with something that looks like I bought at the Thrift store, then I realize I could be a full turn off on my scope setting ( long story) Let’s just say the pucker factor was in full force because in my mind the whole world’s eyes was on me when I fired that first shot lol.
Lucky that first shot was paper and I could adjust. Well my match report is short because I left my I pad at Reese Bottom with all my match info.
Congrads To Barry winning open shooter of the year very deserving . Well as we all had figured the FTR shooter of the year has Ben a dog fight all year with Scott squeaking out the win Congrads as well and big shout out to Mr. Allen for letting my hitch a ride to the last few match. And Thinks to Wynne for all he does so we can come enjoy the day with friends and hope all the first time visitors will come back
Stay safe enjoy time with your family and hope see all in February

KeymasterMy match report from Reese Bottom headquarters. I have your blue bag with all of your stuff. Surely someone will be coming that way soon and I will try to get it to you. There was also a chair left at the range. Like I said, we may have a yard sale. The match went well if I must say so myself. I was thinking last night to myself. It is amazing to have such a group of accomplished good shooters participate in a match held on a 50′ strip of hollowed out brush in rural Marengo County Alabama. This is a dream come true for me, and I would like to sincerely thank each of you for making it possible. If I figured correctly, there were good shooters from six states participating in the match. As mentioned during the match, this raps up the Reese Bottom shooting for 2025. Good Lord willing 2026 will be the first of the five remaining years of shooting planned for Reese Bottom. Suze and I hope that everyone got home safely and that each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a very happy New Year. Hope to see many of you the third Saturday in February. Steve HowellParticipantThanks to all at Reese Bottom for a great match. Not often a rock chunker like me gets to shoot with such an all star cast like we had Saturday.
