I would like to take this topic and plan ahead for the next three and final three matches to be shot at Reese Bottom during 2025. The September 20, 2025 match has been announced and is being registered for. With a couple of days left to register, we have nine good shooters signed up. Could use several more before registration closes at 7:00 pm on Thursday the 18th. The October 18, 2025 match will be a regular long-range prone match with the course of fire being 3 X 20 X 1000. We are going to change up the November 15, 2025 match to include an added V2 match. What this involves is shooting a regular long-range prone match[same as usual] and then shooting an additional two pair-fire strings of fifteen shoots each[this must be shot from the prone position]. A good shooter can shoot the regular match and elect not to shoot the V2 strings. I have had a request for this and have decided to give it a try. To be an official V2 match there are a few requirements. Two divisions[open & ftr] and there must be five shooters in a division to qualify the match. If one division has five or more and the other does not, then the V2 match will only shoot the one division. To qualify for V2 points, each good shooter must shoot a total of ninety[90] rounds which includes the sixty shot in the regular match. Plans are to create a topic for registration for this match on Sunday night October 26, 2025 at 7:00 pm. I will take a total of twenty good shooters with twelve slots allocated for Open and eight slots allocated for FTR. Please do me a favor and allow those trying to qualify for the National Match in first. Let’s say the FTR division does not fill up then we will roll those slots into Open to get to twenty total.
