We hope all is well with everyone and that you all are getting things ready for a great year of shooting. I have updated the ‘Events Page’ with this year’s dates. Nothing has changed for this year other than the dates. Several good shooters have gotten out of the habit of shooting. You know who they are and if you happen to see any of them, please encourage them to come see us. We will preregister for our matches and as before, the first 20 get in with 4 able to shoot from a bench.

We will plan to recognize a Shooter of the Year in each division again this year. We have 10 scheduled matches and as before the shooter must participate in a minimum of 7 matches in the division. If we were to end with a tie, those tied will shoot a 10 shot alternate shot shoot off after the November match. If still tied, alternate shots until someone drops one. I am adding one new wrinkle. Winners of the divisions at the 1000 yard matches gets an extra point. 1000 yards = 4, 2, 1. 600 yards = 3, 2, 1. We will monitor this and see if it helps a good shooter catch up late in the year. Remember, we cannot have competition without competitors. WWE

Mr. Wynne I like the new “wrinkle” slim change of me using it, but I will be giving it my “my best shot”, look forward to seeing everyone next month

My 308 been kinda lonely last couple of months I’ve got to get it out and start spending some time with it competition was tough last year in FTR and I’m sure 2025 will be tougher than ever but I’m glad to see the first match date coming up be good to see good ole harassing friends too, I wonder what they will be bringing to the line this year?

I’m a little slow about getting started this year, my Shot Marker Target has come in with three new McMillan Stocks, one XIT for my Savage and two Kestros. It’s looking like Skyelor and August will have a new rifle soon for F-Open and I will be shooting the same old 308 for a little longer.

Good for you for introducing those two young shooters to competitive shooting!

Steve, as you know we missed Como this month, Skyelor missed 2 1/2 days of school and come to find out he tested positive for Type A Flu. I will not drive to Como without Skyelor and August together, they are the reason we shoot at DRPC. I just had a new 6 Dasher built and got them both a McMillan Kestros stock, I already had one Dasher built last year and will have to get both stocks bedded, hopefully will be able to shoot these this year sometime. Now that I have two boys shooting I will load their ammo first and mine last so if my ammo does not get loaded they will still get to shoot, the boys come first so my shooting may be limited this year.
