Steve please let us know what the seating depth on those primers turned out to be after he measured them. Looked to be quite a bit more than .003-.005, and the fired ones had that huge bulge

Mr. Wynne good write up on brass prep and as Al stated the key is consistency. What ever was done during the initial tuning process DON’T CHANGE IT. There is no secret neck dimension, prep process, or secret dipping compound to make a rifle out of tune shoot. How many times have you heard someone say they went to XX primers and the rifle really…[Read more]

Wynne,
I used to believe the sleep theory until a couple of year’s ago when Bryan Litz book’s came out and he started posting on accurate shooter. Not quite as true as we believed. Turn’s out my load’s were just not in tune as much as I thought. There are 100s of way’s to accomplish the voodoo it take’s for 1 hole shot after shot. Being a number’s…[Read more] -

Wynne,
If it won’t shoot repeatable 1/4 moa at 200 we keep working on it, most time’s you can squeeze a bit better on a no wind day.

Wynne,
Sam is correct the hole you mentioned in my tarp is to eliminate 1 more place the shooter can induce movement into the rifle. Every round loaded the same after tuning, every shot fired the same way, every shot should go in the same hole. So the more variable’s we can eliminate the less we can screw it up. Bet Steve is still trying to figure…[Read more] -

Wynne story goes
Pre 2014 rule change used to be board cannot exceed the support by more than 2″ so my 36″ wide leg style bipod could use a 38″ board legally. To stop this they then added the max 24″ in 2014 but left in the 2″ part ok still pretty clear 2″ wider with a 24″ max. Then Rempel and Duplin come out with bipods that the legs move in and…[Read more] -

Waynne,
What bullet are you currently shooting? Up north I shoot a .223 Salvage setup for the 80 SMK using RL15, Sinclair bipod, on a piece of 3/4 plywood 12″ x 14″ does not exceed the 2″ rule usually in the top 3. -

This was my target from Blakley last month. 5 shooters each on 6 target’s 3×20 done in just under 3 hrs. and the first relay took 1 hr for us to figure out why all these young guy’s kept staring at there smart phone’s. No target’s were ever pulled, no one went to pit’s, only shoot and wait for the hit to show on a monitor you had next to you.…[Read more]

Mr Wynne don’t think anyone was pushy, each range and match does thing’s a little bit different and once folk’s figured out what was needed it moved smoother. With 5 target’s and 20+ shooter’s at a match anytime before 3 to finish is tuff, changing to 15 shots or staying in the pits twice will shave some minutes but not hrs. Think what happened…[Read more]
