Well, tell us what that number that you are trying to beat is. I have shot the .223 to 595 on two different occasions, both in September, two years apart. The .223 has almost reached retirement age and will soon be replaced by a larger more stable offspring. Until then it will have to fend for itself against all the above listed .308’s.
